When I was a child we often drove from our home in Annap0lis through DC to visit my grandma. We played a game called I see the monument – I bet you can’t figure out the rules.
Somewhere along the way the game went from I see the monument to let’s see how long it takes Sarah to say she sees the monument.
I have no idea when my family made that change.
But I got them back last year.
When I was in DC at 3am last summer I took a picture of the monument and sent it to each of my family member’s phones. That afternoon I got a text from my brother; “I’m really glad I wasn’t awake to receive that”.
